About the Role

The role of Regulatory Compliance Specialist will provide technical support on all state and federal regulations, while identifying and mitigating risks related to our client’s assets.


Roles and Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities of the “Regulatory Compliance Specialist” role include, but are not limited to:

  • Execute job duties safely and following company policies, standards, and guidelines

  • Support cost estimations and detailed proposals for regulatory and pipeline integrity-related projects

  • Provide sound recommendations and project strategies that secure the ongoing safe and compliant operations of our clients

  • Supports all client regulatory operations and assists with regulatory audits to ensure compliance for clients

  • Supports the upkeep of permits, business plans, and filing of regulatory reports

  • Responsible for up-to-date information on state, federal, and local regulators, issues, and current technologies.

  • Analyze, interpret, establish, and administer regulatory policies for pipeline operations.

  • Establish and improve client pipeline Integrity Management Programs (IMPs) and Operator Manuals (O&Ms)

  • Collaborate with other Regulatory Compliance Specialists to identify, establish, and support compliance programs.

Requirements

Education

  • High School Diploma required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field desired

Experience

  • Familiar with regulations governing the construction, operation and maintenance of hazardous liquid and natural gas pipeline systems

  • Aware of the regulatory authorities i.e. PHMSA, OSHA, DEQ, EPA, etc.

  • Proven ability to interact with and effectively manage input from multiple stakeholders to support business targets

Skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite

  • Professional written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills, team collaboration, leadership and organizational skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work and lead in a team environment

  • Proven track record for working with minimal supervision and being able to work independently
